Two Pack Poly Paint

By Paul Lisle, Sales Manager

Not all paint finishes are created equal. Many may look good, but start to break down in high heat or high moisture areas. Some discolor even under normal conditions. 2 Pack Polyurethane is a highly durable choice for painting shutters. It not only looks great, it is exceptionally resistant to varying conditions normally found in most homes such as heat, moisture and stains.

What is Polyurethane?

Polyurethane is a versatile plastic material formed by reacting a polyol with a diisocyanate or polymeric isocyanate in the presence of suitable catalysts and additives. Due the range of polyols and variety of diisocyanates available, a wide range of materials can be produced to adapt to various application types. *

How do you make 2 Pack Polyurethane Paint?

2 Pack Poly coating systems have two hydroxyl groups (part A) reacting with isocyanate resin (part B). When the two components are combined they allow the paint to cure while undergoing a set process to finish.

2 Pack Poly products are also able to achieve very consistent gloss levels. These products are free from formaldehyde and VOCs, making them not only durable but green and sustainable as well.

What are the benefits of 2 Pack Polyurethane Paint?

Known for their excellent durability and resistance properties, 2 Pack Poly coating is resistant to stains, excess moisture and constant temperature changes, all without spider cracking, warping, orange peeling or chipping. While the finish is not indestructible, it has been proven over time to retain gloss and color fastness for years when properly maintained.
