Cleaning
Regular light dusting will help maintain the premium appearance of your plantation shutters. Use a feather duster, dusting cloth, or vacuum with soft brush attachments.
Protection
Avoid high levels of moisture and steam to maintain structural integrity of your 100% wood shutters. To prevent damage to the wood, never spray cleaning products directly onto the shutters. Always spray onto a cloth first then wipe down the shutters. When cleaning windows behind shutters, always spray glass cleaner on your cleaning cloth, then wipe down the glass to avoid overspray touching the wood.
Tensioning
If required, you can tension the drive louver. Remove the sticker located on the side of the panel. Use a screwdriver to gently turn clockwise until the louver has enough tension to enable all the louvers to maintain their position. Be careful not to over tension the drive louver. It is not covered by warranty.
Cleaning Hardware
Use a feather duster, dusting cloth, or vacuum with soft brush attachments. Spot clean with warm soapy water.
Cleaning Fabrics
Regular light dusting will help maintain the premium appearance of your shade fabric. Use a feather duster, dusting cloth, or vacuum with soft brush attachments.
Protection
Never spray cleaning products directly onto the shades. When cleaning windows behind shades, always spray glass cleaner on your cleaning cloth, then wipe down the glass to avoid overspray touching the shade.
Motors
Rechargeable batteries should be charged approximately every 700 cycles. A slight beep will alert the users of the batteries’ need to recharge. AC motors can be left plugged in at all times.
Cleaning
Cleaning once every six months will help maintain the premium appearance of your Weatherwell aluminum shutters. Use a nonabrasive cloth or sponge with warm soapy water, or simply hose down to clean. Concentrate on the areas where stainless steel hardware is attached. Particularly in coastal areas. If you are directly on the beachfront, we recommend weekly cleaning.
Protection
Avoid cleaning products with an alcohol-based solution as they may tarnish the shutter’s powder coat finish. Warm soapy water is best. We recommended removing any salt residue or tannin stains caused by trees on a regular basis.
Cleaning Fabric Screens
Regular light dusting and fabric spot cleaning will help maintain the premium appearance of your Shadesol Outdoor Shades. Use a dusting cloth or vacuum with soft brush attachments. Spot clean with warm soapy water.
